“The process of creating an illustration for a book cover is intricate and involves more than just a “pretty drawing.” It must grab the reader’s attention, much like a piece of art with marketing potential. The first, and possibly only, opportunity for it is the cover.
The illustrator faces a difficult task. All he has to do is turn thousands of words into a picture that captures the spirit of the book. Furthermore, it must be unique, free of cliches, and most importantly, devoid of artificial intelligence. The human touch, the human glance, and the human heart will never be replaced. All of this was discovered by me in Jean Louiss. All he did was paint a picture on the cover of my first book. I hope he does the book covers for every book that comes out. Axé!”

“Ilustrar a capa de um livro é um processo complexo que vai além do “desenho bonito”. É tipo uma obra de arte com força de marketing – precisa captar a atenção do leitor. A capa é a primeira e talvez única chance pra isso.
O desafio do ilustrador não é pouco. Ele simplesmente precisa transformar milhares de palavras em uma imagem que comunique a essência do livro. Mas não apenas isso, precisa ser original, sem clichês e sobretudo, sem IAs. Nada substituirá o toque humano, o olhar humano, o coração humano. E isso tudo encontrei em Jean Louiss. Ele simplesmente fez uma obra de arte na capa do meu primeiro livro. Espero que ele faça as próximas capas de todos os próximos livros. Axé! “
